I bought a ball of a yarn called Mainland Earth Collection. It's 80% Baby Alpaca and 20% Silk. I originally bought it to try some free form crochet with, but wasn't happy with the outcome. I decided to try felting it and this is the result. I thought it turned out rather well. I only ended up with a small bowl, but it would look nice on a dresser or table with something colorful in it.

I have a bowl like this that is kept by the front door where I keep my keys! You could needlefelt some pretty roving in a pattern or flower or just pretty squiggles. That would look fantastic.
